Dr. Nick De Groot, ND (non-clinical), M.Ed. (Class of 1998)
Dr. Nick De Groot, ND (non-clinical), M.Ed., has served as the dean of 91茄子since 2008. Nick is responsible for the College鈥檚 curriculum and for ensuring that the teaching clinics at 91茄子meet the highest standards of clinical education and patient care.
鈥淚 feel honoured to be working with the talented students who come to CCNM. Watching them grow into the future leaders of the profession is truly inspiring.鈥

Dr. Jonathan Prousky, ND
Dr. Jonathan Prousky, ND, graduated from Bastyr University with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. At 91茄子- Toronto, Dr. Prousky鈥檚 primary responsibility is the delivery of safe and effective naturopathic medical care in his role as the chief naturopathic medical officer. He also coordinates the grand rounds program and supervises in the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.
鈥淢y goal is to help people feel more regulated and resilient. NDs can help a lot of people but you have to put time and energy into it as it takes time to see improvement. I love seeing the positive changes in my patients.鈥

Dr. Mitchell Zeifman, ND
Dr. Mitchell Zeifman, B.Sc., ND, has been practicing as a naturopathic doctor since graduating from 91茄子in 2003 and is currently associate dean of clinical education. Mitchell oversees the clinical program, which is when the knowledge, skills and attitudes built during the first three years of the naturopathic medicine program, is applied to patient care.
鈥淚 oversee the culmination of our students鈥 full-time entry into clinical practice and their transition to being interns, when their foundational learning is applied to patient care. I am privileged to witness the development of our talented students.鈥

Associate Dean, Curriculum and Residency
Dr. Jasmine Carino, ND (non-clinical) (Class of 1998)
Dr. Jasmine Carino, ND (non-clinical), graduated from 91茄子in 1998 and was one of the first NDs accepted into the two-year residency program. As the associate dean, curriculum and residency program, Jasmine designs strategies for curriculum change, oversees the residency program and helps ensure delivery of high-quality continuing education.
鈥淪ince graduating from this program in 1998, I have played a role in the changes in the curriculum over the years. I love being a part of a team that is unwavering in its intent to improve the educational experience of our students, and graduate confident and competent naturopathic doctors. 鈥

Dr. Jonathan Tokiwa, BScN, RN, ND, MEd Specialist (Class of 2005)
Dr. Jonathan Tokiwa, ND, completed his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at the University of Toronto and graduated with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the 91茄子. Furthermore, he pursed graduate studies focusing upon education and completed his Master of Education Specialist degree in adult, community, and higher education from the University of Calgary. Prior to starting a career in naturopathic medicine, his previous clinical experience includes emergency medicine and paramedical services.
鈥淚 am honoured and grateful to have the opportunity to work with so many well-intentioned people who love what they do and are passionate about the well being of our institution and profession. 鈥

Dr. Rochelle Heisel, PhD

Dr. Rochelle Heisel, PhD, graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Doctorate from the Department of Medicine. She has been teaching at the Boucher campus since its inception and has been the Associate Dean of Academics at this campus since 2006. In her role she works to help ensure the continued delivery of a high-quality academic program.

鈥淭eaching is a passion of mine, and being able to work with a team of colleagues dedicated to delivering the best possible education is a privilege.鈥

Reid Wildeman, MEd.
Reid has a master鈥檚 degree in educational leadership from Simon Fraser University and was most recently Director of Education for a private college in Vancouver. Reid has extensive experience in program evaluation, curricular design, and instructional supervision. Reid taught at the high school level for ten years and was a summer school Principal and Vice Principal for the final three. He has worked with a broad spectrum of learners, including at-risk students, international college students, mature learners and more.
鈥淚 enjoy the challenges of education, working with students, instructors, and other educational stakeholders, and the opportunity to make learning happen for everyone involved. Working at the Boucher Campus has been an amazing experience and I love the passion and energy for naturopathic medicine the students and faculty bring every day.鈥
